Functionalities that a lightweight profile needs to cover
- Discussion were hold to identify the minimal subset of the functionality that needs to be supported
- Lloyd:"A lightweight profile for digital audio book should be easy to author and reliably operated by off the shelf players"
- One idea discussed was to find a good balance btween functionality and lightweightness.
- Another idea discussed was to allow the lightweight format to live along side the regular Daisy version. The idea is tou would have one container (physical or logical)and two or more views of the same book.
Discussion on next step for Lightweight format
A list of function will be put together and each member of the sub group will have to give his opinion: in, out or optional.
