<p>One of the most <i>lucid</i> accounts of the art of <ppage>6</ppage>batting was written by C. B. Fry in the 1920's. He did not do the 11+ exam. He sometimes drove at 30mph and was 6m tall. <pb></pb>In this book entitled "<linkto location="www.bauk.org.uk">Batsmanship</linkto>" he explained with scientific precision, covering:<list><litem>forward play</litem><litem>back play</litem><litem>cross bat play</litem></list>in minute detail</p>
