We'll be discussing the following points to determine where we move from here:

  • Can we wait on a MODS RDF implementation?
  • Is there an opportunity for us to help move the process along? (i.e., can we team with the MODS maintainers to speed up the work.)
  • Can we implement MODS ourselves in RDF? Is there are any intellectual property restrictions that might make this a non-starter. (skills/experience?)
  • Is MODS ultimately compatible with what we want to do?
  • Should we look at creating our own complete DAISY meta data element set in RDF and bypass the problems with MODS entirely?
