Talk Pages
From zedwiki
Talk pages are a key feature of the wiki, offering the ability to discuss articles and issues with other users. Each "article" page has its own "discussion" (talk) page.
To access discussion/talk, click the "discussion" tab at the top of the page.
Tips:
- The comment option (+ tab) creates a new section. This can be useful when adding a new comment. When you post a new comment on a development talk page, put it at the bottom of the talk page.
- Use colons “:” to indicate replies (“:” “::” “:::” etc.), by indenting the text.
- You should sign your comments by clicking the signature icon Image:Button sig.png in the toolbar. Or by typing ~~~ for just your username, or ~~~~ for your username and a time signature.
Reasons to Use Discussion
Use the talk page for suggestions for changes, comments about other’s changes, explanations of your own changes. The Talk page can also function as the “development” stage of the page because they function just like its accompanying "article" page. For more tips, see "Strategies for Groups," on the Tips for Group Work page.
