Here you can submit role value requests. Please describe fully what you want: the term, its meaning, and any other related concepts, where available. So far, we have found concepts related to our vocabulary items in the Chicago Manual of Style, DocBook, WAI-ARIA, and XHTML2. Other sources are also welcome.

Clarification

  • Proposed addition to annotation roles: source or attribution. This seems to overlap with the already-established way of attributing the source of an annotation.

Reply from Boris:

I thought there might be an annotation whose purpose was to provide a source or attribution, eg:

<poem id="abc">...</poem>

<annotation about="#abc" property="editorAnno" role="attribution">
Despite the author's assertion to the contrary, this poem is generally attributed to John Smith.
</annotation>"
