The Open Container Format (OCF) is a ZIP (or File system)-based packaging structure put forth by the IDPF as part of the Open eBook Publication Structure (OEBPS). It builds on the ODF v1.0 structure, adding the ability to include other metadata descriptions such as digital signatures, encryption keys, and rights information.

- Content must be XML v1.1 compatible
- File names must be UTF-8, 255 character max, 65535 path length max
