Remaining work for the group

• Propose that we create strawman exemplars, either as files or written documents, showing how containers might work
  • Why?
    • It will give us something tangible to talk about / throw darts at
    • It will help us iterate / refine formats if they're almost there

Strawman Approach

Different ways to approach this.

1. Different content
   1. Text w/ audio
   2. Text only
   3. Audio only
2. Different use cases
   1. Distribution biased
   2. Device biased
   3. Streaming biased
3. Different existing formats
   1. Take an existing format, fold a DAISY book into it
4. Make something up from scratch
   1. If you were sitting down with a blank slate, how would you approach this?

Streaming?

• Streaming seems fundamentally at odds with the the idea of a container; we may choose to exclude it from our recommendation
  • DAISY Online is covering streaming; perhaps our group's spec does not overlap with theirs
