Apologies:
The agenda for the call was distributed to the Advisory Committee list on January 8. There was one addition to the agenda by Rob who asked that there be confirmation soon of the FTF meeting for the benefit of arranging travel and schedules.
The next conference call is 2008 January 23, 0900 Eastern USA. Calls following this are scheduled for Feb 6, Feb 20, Mar 5, Mar 19, and April 2.
Committee Members will be the following, listed alphabetically by sponsoring organization:

Our protocol
indicates that there can be at most two persons from any one organization.

point we have 15, so are at the maximum number. Others, such as Julien Quint,
Neil Soiffer, etc., may join as invited experts.
Kathy and Boris reported that the DTD testing so far has not revealed any problems.
One new issue #216 was entered and is assigned to Kathy regarding formatting of the Structure Guidelines. Per Issue #215, Markus clarified that the XSLT Mime type should be upgraded from the XSLT 1.0 spec value of ""application/xml", to the 2.0 spec value of "application/xml-xslt". This will also be an errata to the MathML in DAISY specification.
The Issues database is currently up-to-date. The new DTD, dtbook-2005-3.dtd, is being tested and will be posted next week, as well as the Errata document.
Lynn is nearly done editing the most recent changes and these files will be posted this week as the "Structure Guidelines 2008". The NIMAS examples had been removed and needed to be redone with regard to inserting empty alternative text attributes (e.g. alt=""), since alternative text is not required by NIMAS. The Call for Review will be open through February 15, so that we can make changes based on comments that come in from ATIA. This will also give the NIMAS Technical Committee time to respond.
George reported that we haven't had time to send out the targeted request for Requirements. Committee members were asked if they have any that have not yet been submitted. There have been e-mail discussions of issues that people feel strongly about but have not yet posted. It was agreed that it would be better not to wait so that everyone has the option to comment and also to avoid a processing crunch right before the deadline.
