The agenda for the call was distributed to the Advisory Committee list on October 23, with the NISO Maintenance Agency Work Plans as an attachment. There were no additions to the agenda.

Confirmation of Date and Time for Next Call

The next conference call is 2007 November 7, 0900 Eastern USA and will continue bi-monthly with calls scheduled through the end of the 2007 November 21, December 5, and December 19, at the same time.

Welcome to New Members of the Committee

Jennifer Sutton was introduced to the Committee. Jennifer was with the DAISY Consortium from 2002-2004 and will be one of the primary reviewers in the Requirements Gathering process. It was noted that Boris has been nominated as part of the Technical Group of NIMAS.

Requirements Gathering Web site

All pages of the development site were reviewed and comments gathered for revision.

ACTION: Group - Continue to provide comments and feedback through the testing period.

ACTION: Markus and Jennifer - Review current submissions before October 31.

ACTION: Kathy - Revise and post at www.daisy.org/z3986/requirements/ on October 31.

Work Plans

The Work Plan document was reviewed and assignments filled in. It was agreed that the 'Call for Participation' and the 'Call for Requirements Gathering' processes should be separate even though some of the dates involved in each process may overlap.

ACTION: Jennifer - draft initial 'Call for Requirements Gathering' document by October 28.

ACTION: MG, RL, GK, LEL, JS - finalize 'Call for Requirements Gathering' document by November 1.

ACTION: LEL, GK, KK - Draft of public announcement by October 28, finalized by November 1.

ACTION: GK and LEL - 'Call for Participation in Maintenance Agency and Revision of the Standard' first draft to be reviewed next meeting November 7, not to be released until November 16.

Maintenance Activity

George requested that the 2005 DTD and other items in the Issues Tracking area be reviewed at the next meeting.

ACTION: Kathy, James, Linus - review Issues and discuss prior to next meeting.
