(R79) Title: Topic Sentence and Main Idea

Description:

It would be useful to have elements that could be used to identify the topic sentence of a paragraph or main idea(s) within a structural boundary such as a chapter or section.

Rationale:

The topic sentences could be gathered up within a DTB Reader to provide a list of key ideas for a chapter. If a main idea element is also implemented, both the main idea and the more specific topic sentences could be gathered as a summary for pre-reading preparations and for study.

Another way to look at this would be to specify markup for "key phrases" of whatever sort. Having these marked up could enable DAISY players to provide highlighting, hints, or summaries.
