(R44) Title: Support data entry forms
Description:
The specification should support the display and processing of data entry forms. Forms would allow various kinds of input controls (radio buttons, check boxes, text fields, etc.). There should be some way to define default values for form fields. There should be a way to apply timing to the forms (e.g., time limit for completion), but there should also be a way to override the timing if the end-user needs more time (due to disability, etc.).
Rationale:
Ability to include forms would extend support to a variety of common types of content: tests, workbooks, interactive school exercises, etc.

A proposal to add QTI XML (IMS Question & Test Interoperability Standard) has been placed at R55. Assessments, Quizzing and gathering responses and trending learner response shall enhance the standard. It would impact learning design, pedagogies, assessments and feedback to a learner as well as to a teacher. QTI is a strong candidate for inclusion in the DAISY standard.
