Z3986 Requirements Detail

In a DAISY book, phrases have a fixed length, as chosen by the producer. A user should be able to choose to focus on shorter or longer chunks of text while reading the book. This would require the user agent to provide an option for shortening/lengthening phrases; and this would require the book to be marked up with several possible phrase lengths (including a default one.)

Various readers with learning and/or cognitive disabilities studying the same books require phrases of different lengths to be able to access the content optimally.
