This extraordinary General Meeting was called and held to elect a new DAISY Consortium President. The need for this meeting results from the resignation of the incumbent, Elsebeth Tank, during her second term as President.

2. Confirmation of Processes
The agenda for this extraordinary General meeting was sent August 14, 2007. Notice of the meeting was published and the invitation to attend was sent in due time in reference to the Articles of Association of the DAISY Consortium.
3. Election of the New President
The Board of the DAISY Consortium unanimously presented Hiroshi Kawamura as the sole candidate for the presidency. The Board was pleased to present HK as the new President. His term as President will begin November 1, 2007 and go through to December 31, 2011.
DBB will assign a new representative to the DAISY Board as of January 1, 2008. Elsebeth Tank will remain a member of the Board until December 31, 2007. Her term as President is completed as of October 31, 2007.
