ZedVal

ZedVal is a conformance validator for Z39.86 Digital Talking Books. It is written in Java and released under LGPL. The current version, 2.0 (March 2008) may be downloaded from http://zedval.sourceforge.net.

Ongoing work on the ZedVal project includes:

  • updating ZedVal to support the ANSI/NISO Z39.86-2005 specification
  • maintaining backwards compatibility with the ANSI/NISO Z39.86-2002 specification, allowing validation of both types of DTB simultaneously
