The DAISY Consortium is embarking on a revision to the first DAISY Protected Digital Talking Book specification. A document that describes the need for the revision is attached.
The project manager is Neil Bernstein from NLS. I will participate in the working group and help to facilitate communications.
Two new lists have been created.
daisy-ipp-wg for working group members, and
daisy-ipp-ig for people who are interested, who may want to contribute requirements, but they do not want to be involved with the details that the working group will address.
We want to keep the working group fairly small. If you want to be in the working group, you will be expected to contribute to the review of requirements, development of the specification, and attend the face-to-face meetings. We are considering having a face-to-face meeting in late September, so if committed, join ASAP.
