Objective description

The objective is to develop and submit a formal proposal (including all supporting documentation) for a MathML modular extension to ANSI/NISO Z39.86-2005 in accordance with the modular extension guidelines.

  2. 15 April 2005 — Call for participation posted to DAISY Technical Developments list on or before this date
  3. 10 May 2005 — First team telephone conference
  4. 30 August 2005 — first face-to-face meeting in preparation for draft spec
  5. 30 September 2005 — draft specification; request for feedback
  6. 30 October 2005 — ZedVal patches; request for feedback
  7. 30 November 2005 — Identification of DAISY player for further development to support draft specification
  8. 30 January 2006 — sample MathML-in-DAISY content partially working on demonstration DAISY player; request for feedback
  9. 30 February 2006 — second face-to-face meeting in preparation for draft proposal
  10. 30 March 2006 — draft proposal; request for feedback
  11. 30 May 2006 — submission of formal proposal to Zed committee for consideration
