Objective description
The objective is to develop and submit a formal proposal (including all
supporting documentation) for a MathML modular extension to ANSI/NISO
Z39.86-2005 in accordance
with the modular extension guidelines.
Deliverables
- Specification for a MathML-in-DAISY modular extension
- Identification of one or more DAISY player implementations to be developed
to support that extension
- Patches for ZedVal to support extension specification
- Submission of formal proposal and all required supporting documentation to Zed committee
for consideration

consideration

This project will need to be managed by a person who has:
- Strong communication skills
- Familiarity with DAISY modular extension technical issues
- Background in MathML and math accessibility
- Background with iterative committee processes
- Background in Object Oriented Programming (for ZedVal patches)

A call for participation by experts would be made to the DAISY Technical Developments list.
