The DAISY Consortium is pleased to announce the formation of a MathML-in-DAISY Modular Extension Working Group. Experts from companies and organizations with an interest in accessible mathematics and DAISY are invited to participate on the working group.
Participation on the Working Group could involve a significant commitment of time and resources. The Working Group will hold at least one conference call a month, and may hold one or two face-to-face meetings each year. In addition, there will be research, spec writing, and spec reviews that will demand time. To be efficient, the Working Group must be kept to a manageable size, and each of the members must actively participate.
Nominees to the MathML Modular Extension Working Group from your company or organization should be highly technical with a knowledge base in computer science, XML, SMIL, MathML, DAISY, etc. To nominate someone to the MathML Modular Extension Working Group, please use the Contact Us form on the DAISY web site and choose the message category, "Project: MathML in DAISY". Please include the person's name, email, contact information, and a brief description of the person's background. All other questions regarding the MathML Modular Extension should be sent to DAISY through the Contact Us form on www.daisy.org.
