Vision

Our vision is that all published information is available to people with print disabilities, at the same time and at no greater cost, in an accessible, feature-rich, navigable format.

Mission

The DAISY Consortium's mission is to develop the International Standard and implementation strategies for the production, exchange, and use of Digital Talking Books in both developed and developing countries, with special attention to integration with mainstream technology, to ensure access to information for people with print disabilities.

Season's Greetings!

We wish each and everyone a heartfelt, joyous, and peaceful holiday season. So much has happened in the past year worthy of our thanks. We thank each of you for your support and camaraderie, which are dear to us.

Sadly, powers greater than all of us have spoken, making us even more aware that accessibility is critical to everyone. The impact of last December's Tsunami, Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, earthquakes on various continents, and disease challenging human abilities and resources, have impressed upon us a sense of urgency to get the accessible information Daisy provides into the mainstream. Could a call to action possibly be more forceful?

We are honored to be a part of the lives we influence. Our vision and mission are indeed of paramount importance. As we move into the coming year we celebrate our relationships and our ability to move forward together in an international culture of sharing, growth, and harmony.

Our best wishes for the holiday season and an accessible New Year to all!
