DaisyWorm, a DAISY Reader for the Apple iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch Now Available on the iTunes Store

The Association for the Blind of Western Australia and Curtin University of Technology have announced the availability of DaisyWorm, a DAISY reader application for the Apple iPhone supporting DAISY 2.02 and DAISY 3 formats. DaisyWorm will play non-protected full audio and full text/full audio DAISY books on the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. This includes books from the talking book library of the Association for the Blind of Western Australia, the Vision Australia library, and other talking book libraries including CNIB in Canada, RNIB in the United Kingdom, RNZFB in New Zealand and TPB in Sweden. At this time DaisyWorm is unable to play digital talking books from the U.S. National Library Service or Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic in the United States. Future free upgrades will include user bookmarks, playback speed control and support for DAISY text only books. More information can be found on the iTunes Store.
