MyStudio PC - Additional Functions
There are four additional functions in MyStudio PC which are described in this section. These functions may simplify some parts of the production process.
DAISY Import
This function allows you to import an existing DAISY project (DAISY 2.0 or DAISY 2.02) created with a different DAISY production tool into MyStudio PC. It is possible to import from hard disk or CD. Once the project is in MyStudio PC it can be edited. It is also possible to combine several existing projects to create one single project using this function.
1. Select "DAISY import..."(D) from the "Tool"(Alt + T) menu.

2. The "Setting of the DAISY import" dialog box will display. Select the NCC.htm(l) file for the project to be imported by pressing the "File Select" button, select "On" or "Off" for "Audio format conversion" and press the "OK" button or press the "Enter" key.

3. When the "DAISY Import" dialog box is displayed, select the "Start" button or press the "Enter" key to start the DAISY import process.

4. The "End Confirm" message will display when the process is complete. Selects the "OK" button or press the "Enter" key to confirm.

Audio Import
Audio files that already exist can be imported into a project using this MyStudio PC function.
1. Select "Audio import..."(A) from the "Tool"(Alt + T) menu.

2. The "Setting of the recording function" dialog will be displayed. Set the recording functions and select the "OK" button or press the "Enter" key.

Audio Export
This function allows you to convert the audio files in a project into a different audio format. The exported project becomes an entirely new project with audio files in the new selected format. It is possible, for example, to record a project using uncompressed PCM (producing wav files) and then convert the audio to mp3 files.
1. Select "Audio export..."(E) from the "Tool"(Alt + T) menu.

2. When the "Setting of the recording format" dialog box is displayed, select the audio format for the new project and select the "OK" button or press the "Enter" key.

6. When the process is complete, the "Check" message is displayed. Select the "OK" button or press the "Enter" key to confirm.

Text Import
The "Text Import" function produces sythesized speech audio files from an existing text file. With "Text Import" it is possible to create a DAISY book with audio, without the need to have it narrated. The TTS engine component in MyStudio PC generates the synthesized speech which is imported directly into an existing project.
