The Swedish DAISY Consortium was established on February 26, 2003.

Members

The Swedish DAISY Consortium is made up of 35 members, including universities, regional libraries and related organizations. TPB, the Swedish Library of Talking Books and Braille, is a founding member of the DAISY Consortium (1996). A list of the 35 members of the Swedish DAISY Consortium is available on the TPB Web site.

The Swedish Library of Talking Books and Braille (TPB) collaborates with local libraries in order to give people with print disabilities access to literature. The object of TPB is to produce and lend talking books and books in braille. Furthermore, TPB provides advice and information on matters concerning talking books and braille. TPB also has a special service directed towards print handicapped students at the university level. TPB is entirely government funded.

Since November 2000, all talking-books at TPB have been produced in the DAISY format.
