Member Detail: The Library for the Blind of Montenegro

Library for the Blind of Montenegro was founded in 2006. The founder of the library is the Government of Montenegro, which finances Library’s work through the Ministry of Culture. The Library has a Public Institution status. The Library is located in Podgorica, the Capital of Montenegro.  Almost 30% of the total population of Montenegro lives in Podgorica.

For our readers in Podgorica, we organize house delivery of books, while to readers outside Podgorica, we mail the books using postal services. We equipped two sound studios for recording books in digital format, and we also acquired Braille printer Index 4x4 pro with proper equipment. This allowed us to start printing books and magazines in Braille.

Our Library is seen as a central and most significant place for the biggest number of cultural activities in Montenegro, where over one thousand visually impaired people can satisfy their elementary cultural needs.
