Member Detail: National Autonomous University of Mexico

The National Autonomous University of Mexico (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México-UNAM) is the largest and most prestigious public university in Mexico. It recently embraced a commitment to draw freshmen with different kinds of disabilities into academic pursuits. As soon as it realized that structured textbooks are a must, it began producing them. First in MP3 format, but from 2009 on, it will produce them following the DAISY Standards. They hope to substantially increase the proportion of students with print disabilities.
