AMIS not navigating V2 DAISY books well

I do not know when the problem started on my two machines. I wonder if it was when IE8 was installed though. Previous and next phrase works, but previous and next section does not. If using the menu, next section is always disabled. Previous section is shown as available, even if at the beginning of the book. The issue is not screen reader related. With some jiggling, it is possible to navigate V3 DAISY books. Any suggestions?
