Not compatible with Sound Card?
Hello, I have just installed a new sound card, an M-Audio Delta Series M Powered, and neither Amis or Obi will work with it.
For Obi, I have selected said card in the preferences, and yet when I press play, the cursor does not move.
For Amis, I can't even find where to change sound cards.

Is your sound card compatible with DirectX 9?
Dear Ixnay,
Can you please check with manufacturer if your new sound card is compatible with DirectX 9c.
Obi and AMIS both use DirectX 9.
With Regards
Rachana
Does your sound card work
Does your sound card work with other applications, such as Windows Media Player? What behavior do you see in AMIS and Obi?
There is no option to select a sound card in AMIS; it uses your system default. However, there are some additional modes of AMIS, found under "Start, Programs, AMIS, Additional". Try some of the compatibility modes and see if any of them work. They use different combinations of multimedia components.

Thanks Marisa, that DID solve
Thanks Marisa, that DID solve the Amis problem, actually!
Still no luck with Obi. When I hit play, the cursor just won't move, and no sound comes out. The sound card works on every other application, including Sound Forge, Windows Media and Quicktime.
Re: sound card compatibility
Dear ixnay ,
I think that you are using vista?
Will like to discuss this DirectX and sound card compatibility issue in detail. Will send a separate email for required settings.
