Problem with audio - text synchronization on play back
We are having problems with audio - text synchronization when we play some DTBs in AMIS.
We have commissioned an external company to create a number of DAISY DTBs for us.
The DAISY DTBs were created using Dolphin Publisher.
When we load and play them in AMIS the audio starts synchronized with the text, but soon into the DTB the audio creeps ahead of the highlighted text (or the highlighted text lags behind the audio).
We have tried this on a number of different PC's running XP, a MAC (T9500, 32bit, 4GB RAM) with boot camp running VISTA, all will with the same effect.
If we play the same DTB in Dolphin Easy Reader 5.X the text synchronizes as normal with the audio so all is OK.
AMIS version: 3.0
Release Date: 5 May 2009
DAISY DTB version: 2.02
OU DAISY DTB: 1335 files, 581MB, 15 chapters, max single HTML file size = 1110 KB, max single MP3 file size = 43769 KB, max single SMIL file size = 2563.
Is there an issue with AMIS and synchronization of large DTBs?
Does anyone have any suggestions on how we can overcome this problem?
Any constructive help / thoughts appreciated.

Hi Douglas,
It might be an issue with the large file sizes. If you could get me a copy of a book, I could try to reproduce the behavior you describe. Just let me know where you start playback and at what point it begins to degrade. I will email you FTP information for uploading the book.

Hi there
coz sometimes the size of the file may affect the final output... uhmm just been wondering Ms. Marissa, can we also consider the compatibilty? i mean, their numbers of DAISY DTBs were created from Dolphin Publisher... would it be possible? can we consider that as one of the possible reason regarding to Mr. Douglas' problem?
