Clipping of audio

We are getting reports that the last few seconds of audio at the end of a section is being lost. Do you know anything of this?

Project size

Dear Greg,

Can you please mail us the project properties like project size, number of section & phrases, length of a phrase in a section which is getting lost?

These things will help us in finding the error.

When we are able to reproduce the same ,we will be fixing it up.

Will like to know if you are using Obi on virtual machine on Mac?

IF yes, it is a known issue on Mac VM. A small part of recording ( about .4 or .5 sec) is clipped from end of recording.
This problem is also observed by us, often with windows sound recorder on Mac VM.

Mac VM and clipping

Yes when I build on a mac with a virtual machine is when I get this issue. Is there any solution or work around?

Dear Greg,

There is no imidiate technical workaround for it. The complete recording buffer is forced written to wav file on pressing stop recording button.
This is not specific to Obi, it is a recording related problem often observed on Mac VM.

Till we find some work around, or it is improved in Mac VM, it would be better to press stop recording button after some delay.
