DAISY version
The documentation states that Obi supports DAISY version 3. But what about earlier versions? People with older players, will they be able to play DAISY CD's created by Obi?

Obi currently provide only DAISY 3.0 as output.
DAISY 3.0 to 2.02 downgrader is already in our future enhancements list. But we yet have to decide on its plan and timeline.
There is a high probability that it may be delegated to Pipeline-lite or DAISY pipeline.

Thanks for your reply. Could you recommend a method with other current tools which I could use to downgrade a Daisy 3.0 output from Obi? I have not found any other (free) convenient tools to create Daisy from mp3 or wav other than Obi (which I find very useful for this purpose). I would of course like to use the 3.0 version, but I'm worried not all our users have a compatible player.

Recent release of DAISY Pipeline has DAISY 3.0 to 2.02 downgrader. But we have yet not tried it on ncx only DAISY 3.0 books.
We will get back to you after trying it.

We tried DAISY pipeline's full text, full audio DAISY 3.0 to 2.02 downgrader for this task but it was not able to downgrade ncx only books with it.
As I informed earlier that it is already in our enhancement list, will provide more updates as we make progress in this matter.

I cannot surely say if there is some open source ncx only downgrader available, can only say that our tools yet need more refinement to do it in a fool proof way.
So, there is no ready to go solution availabe with us right now.
