Re: Can AMIS play a Protected Digital Talking Book
Hello Zubair,
Right now, AMIS only supports protected books produced by Dedicon in Holland. They contributed to the development effort of this feature.

Re: Can AMIS play a Protected Digital Talking Book
Hello Marisa,
Can you please brief me the mechanism of playing a PDTB.
I mean, which key Dedicon provided to AMIS to store into its player and which key they distribute to their PDTB reading customers. And importantly how these keys are matched together to scrutinize that PDTB can not be played by an un-authorized user.
Regards,
Zubair Younas
Re: Can AMIS play a Protected Digital Talking Book
I actually did not write the code used by AMIS to enable protected digital talking book (PDTB) support, and I'm not too familiar with the implementation details. The code which enables AMIS to support Dedicon's PDTBs is not in our public code repository.
There are two specifications for PDTBs. The spec for version 1.0, the only version supported by AMIS, is not publicly available. Version 2.0 is publicly available, but not supported by AMIS. You can read more about PDTBs here:

I hope there is some documentation there that can help guide you.
