phrase 2 phrase navigation in production tool

Hi With the "Microsoft Save as Daisy with narrator" can navigate from phrase to phrase. With the "Microsoft Save as DAISY XML" Create an xml to text you to be able to convert various forms such as Braille, large print, tts narrator, full text full audio human voice. Why can this not Tobi? Why can this not as an xml Tobi (created with "save as daisy-xml") imports that are "sent" or "span" not add to the import? Or in the pipeline can be added a tool for creating only a xml with the same format as the xml version is in daisy3 but without the TTS naarator that can be used for production TOBI full text full audio with human voice? For example in the pipeline "daisy book/TTS naarator" which allow for this ad-on the TTS to generate or just (in the same format as now happens in this ad on) the xml Then the possibilities (eg for dyslexic people) of daisy3 can be used in production and they can also navigate from phrase to phrase as it is only possible with TTS. For example in the pipeline "daisy book/TTS naarator" which allow for this ad-on the TTS to generate or just (in the same format as now happens in this ad-on) the xml Regards Gino

Hi Gino, I have already

Hi Gino, I have already answered in a previous forum discussion but I'll repeat here for clarity (please let us know if you need further clarification): http://www.daisy.org/forums/367 Sentence-level navigation is obviously possible with Tobi, but the DTBook document must be prepared during the XML production process (i.e. *before* importing in Tobi), because the text structure cannot be modified once inside the Tobi audio synchronization workflow. One way to prepare the DTBook markup is by using the DAISY Pipeline's "Text-only fileset generator" script, or the "Narrator" script (which is also executed when using the "Save As DAISY" addins for Microsoft Word or Open Office). When using these production methods, the Pipeline applies a process called "sentence detection" to add extra "sent" markup inside paragraphs of text. This is what enables "phrase-level" navigation, so to speak. So the time-consuming TTS audio generation can be avoided by using one of the text-only scripts. http://data.daisy.org/projects/pipeline/doc/scripts/DTBookToDaisy3TextOn... http://data.daisy.org/projects/pipeline/doc/scripts/DTBookToDaisy3TextOn... http://data.daisy.org/projects/pipeline/doc/scripts/Narrator-DtbookToDai...
