Long pauses after punctuation.

in
I just downloaded and installed this software, and it seems quite promising. However, when using it I notice one minor glitch; when I tend to listen to books in a very fast pace (which I usually do), the punctuations cause the narration to pause for almost a second or more (which sometimes is as long as a sentence). It makes for a very tedious read. Any way to speed up the punctuation? (or reduce the time it pauses)

Hi Niclas, Can you tell me

Hi Niclas, Can you tell me more about the type of book that you noticed this behavior with? Do you know if it contained audio (either human narrated or pre-recorded text-to-speech) or if it is a text-only book? Thanks Marisa

Hi Marisa I have the same problem and can add to it.

Hi Marisa I alsoe have the this problem. Amis 3.1 swedish version. It is a book that contain audio as mp3 decoded by ffdshow, libmad (as i can see a little icon being lit up in the task bar when the speech is on and it goes away with punctuation paus). It is a daisy 2.02 book and it has 4 levels. When I increase the speed the text from the beginning of the new sentence after a punctuation is skipped over so I cant here it. the punctuation is always to long even if i hear it in normal speed. /Johannes

Well, AMIS isn't aware of

Well, AMIS isn't aware of punctuation, but maybe your book was produced with sentence-level granularity. This would mean that each sentence or phrase has its own audio clip. It is possible that on some machines, AMIS pauses too long between audio clips. How was your book produced? Where did it come from? Thanks Marisa
