AMIS and footpedal control
Hi
I would have a use for foot pedal control on AMIS. Using AMIS to read a daisy tutorial document which gives instructions to the user. The user needs to be able to stop the reader to give time to carry out the instruction.
The user could have ZoomText running on a MS Word document and be listening to instructions on how to cut and paste in Word.
So the foot pedal would have to be able to control AMIS but not affect Zoomtext or Word.
There is a commercial program which already can do this. Is it likely in the near future that AMIS could be developed to do this as well?

Hello, I haven't worked with
Hello,
I haven't worked with foot pedals specifically, but a good general guideline is that any external device that can send keyboard signals should be able to work with AMIS. For example, if stepping on the foot pedal was equivalent to using the spacebar, then AMIS would play or pause whenever the foot pedal was used.
For this to happen, the foot pedal has to be mapped to send specific keyboard signals. I don't know anything about foot pedals -- is this something that would come with the configuration options?
Best regards
Marisa
