DAISY 3 test books

Hello Folks:

I see the only test books are DAISY 2, would it be possible to put up a
DAISY 3 book. All the ones I try the main page never loads.
Alice in Wonderland would be a good one as the book is in the public domain.

Hi Al, I guess you are referring to our sample books for testers at http://daisy-trac.cvsdude.com/amis/wiki/BetaTesting#SampleTitles ? Have you downloaded the zip files or put the URL directly into AMIS (make sure it's the full URL as specified here: http://daisy-trac.cvsdude.com/amis/wiki/BetaTesting#Titlesonline) ? I know DAISY is working on getting some sample books posted, and this will include DAISY 3 titles. I will post the link when it's ready. Marisa

On line version fails

Hello Marisa: Using Windows XP with AMIS RC1 the downloaded 2.02 books play fine. Trying to play same books via URL, takes time for book to download and the reader does not appear to regain focus to allow reading after the lengthy download time. Yes I was really looking for DAISY 3.0 books to test, even if only in XP. Thanks Al Sharpe

Thanks for reporting on your experience. Online book access through AMIS is still probably a bit experimental. What connection speed are you using?

How to open DAISY 3 files?

At http://daisy.org/projects/amis/ AMIS is advertised to support DAISY 3 but I can't open either of the DAISY 3 files on the home page (under downloads) of http://daisy.org/ What is the proper procedure to open the books?
