The committee is bringing DAISY/NISO forward: XML grammar and media type extensions are two of the main focii over the next years (2005 and forward):

• 2005: inclusing of mathematics
• 2006-7: inclusing of video
• 2008: third major version of DAISY/NISO, following the 2005 release
