- NCC
- Acronym for Navigation Control Center, the main navigational tool for end users and also for producers
using LpStudio/Pro and Sigtuna DAR 3. In MyStudio PC the ncc.html file is generated when the project is built; it is not present in the project during the production process.
- NCC Item
- Term used to describe individual headings within the Navigation Control Center.
- NCC Editor
- The tool which during production can be used to change the structure of the NCC. It can change the levels and NCC items and change the sequence of the NCC items.
- NCC Element
- Individual headings or page references within the Navigation Control Center.
- NCX
- In the DAISY 3 Standard, the NCC evolved into an XML application called the "Navigation Control File for XML applications". Its content is derived from the markup of documents tagged using the dtbook DTD. Richer structuring capability is one of the objectives of that DTD. The Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language SMIL 2.0 is used to provide synchronized narrations and text. The NCX provides navigation using the identified elements of documents tagged to the dtbook DTD.
- New Project Wizard
- The wizard in LpStudio/Pro which presents a series of dialog boxes that go through the process for starting a new project. This includes designating the title for the project, selecting an MDF, selecting source files, and NCC generation.
- Noise level
- The noise level (noise threshold) is the level of background noise and ambient sound in the recording environment. When recording with MyStudio PC, depending on the background noise level, a "High", "Normal" or "Low" noise level can be set within the system. There is no calibration process as there is with LpStudio/Pro and Sigtuna DAR 3.
