This thing talks too much!! How do I shut it up?

I want JAWS to go away for good:

Do either of the following

• Press INS + F4, and then hit OK
• Open the JAWS menu, and select ``exit.''

No, I just want JAWS to be quiet for now:

Just hit the CTRL key, and it will stop talking for now.
