BrailleNet signs contracts with publishers allowing to store files of books on the server and to make them available to registered partners.
The contract may or not allow
Braillenet garantees that the files are used properly, according to the contract.
BrailleNet keeps a log of the files used. BrailleNet pays retribution to publishers when books are produced in Braille or large print (about 7% of the retail price of the book for each copy performed), and when books are downloaded from the library service. Currently more than 80 publishers have established contracts with BrailleNet, whose list is available and updated on our server.
