NCC-Only Production Practice: MyStudio PC

For reference during the practices in this session, use:
the MyStudio PC Manual.

Practice 1

  1. Create an NCC-only DTB using the following structure:

    About myself [level 1 (title)]
      Where I am from [level 2]
      My background [level 2]
    About my organization [level 1]
      Organization Mission [level 2]
      My role in the organization [level 2]
    
  2. Configure the audio recording hardware and record (narrate) some audio into the structure.

  3. Build the project.

Practice 2

  1. Go to the samplessamples.markupsoundproof.book folder. This folder contains the text document sound_proof_book.txt. This will be used to create an NCC-only book with Text Import function using symthesized speech.

    Create a project in MyStudio PC. Import sound_proof_book.txt using the text import function.

  2. Create the structure of the publication. When finished, the structure should be as follows.

    The Soundproof Book [level 1 (title)]
      Introduction [level 2]
      Human Recording and Synthetic Speech Excerpt For your Review [level 2]
      The challenge of book access [level 2]
      eBooks provide hope to persons who are blind and print disabled [level 2]
      DRM Implementations Block Access by Screen Readers [level 2]
      Adobe and Microsoft Provide Access Through TTS [level 2]
      Audio Rights [level 2]
      Protecting the audio rights [level 2]
      Call for discussion [level 2]
      Providing a Forum For Discussion [level 2]

  3. Build book.

Practice 3

  1. Go to the samplessamples.sourcevalentin.hauy folder. This folder contains the audio files (hauy_0001.mp3 through hauy_0030.mp3). These will be used to create an NCC-only book with Audio Import function.

    Create a project in MyStudio PC.

  2. Create the structure of the publication. When finished, the structure should be as follows.
