Editing of Sections
Insert Section
1. Select the section where you want the new section to be inserted. Note that the new section will be inserted immediately before the selected section.
2. Choose "Insert section"(I) from the "Edit"(Alt + E) menu or press the "Shift + Insert" key.

3. When the "Check" message is displayed, press the "OK" button or press the "Enter" key.

4. The new section is inserted before the section you selected.
Split a Section
1. Choose the section that is to be split, then choose the phrase in that section where the split is required. The selected phrase will be the first phrase of the new section that is created by the split process.
2. Choose "Split Section"(S) from the "Edit"(Alt + E) menu.

3. When the "Check" message is displayed, press the "OK" button or press the "Enter" key.

4. The new section is created beginning with the phrase that was selected.
Join Sections
1. Choose two or more sections which you want to join.
2. Choose "Join"(J) from the "Edit"(Alt + E) menu or use Ctrl+M to join the sections.

3. When the "Check" message is displayed, press the "OK" button or press the "Enter" key.

4. Two or more sections are joined.
Delete the Section(s)
1. Select the section (or sections) which you want to delete.
2. Choose "Delete"(D) from the "Edit"(Alt + E) menu.

3. When the "Check" message is displayed, select "OK" or press the "Enter" key.

4. The selected section is deleted. Please note that if there are phrases (audio) recorded into the heading that is deleted, those phrases will also be deleted.
Selecting Several Sections or Phrases
1. Select the first or last section or phrase at the point where your selection will begin.
2. Press the Up or Down Arrow key while pressing the Shift key to choose several phrases or sections.
3. If you want to choose all phrases or sections, choose "All Select"(L) from the "Edit"(Alt + E) menu or press the "A" key while pressing down the "Ctrl" key.

Delete All Sections
1. Select any section.
2. Choose "All Delete"(E) from the "Edit"(Alt + E) menu.

3. When the "Check" message is displayed, press the "OK" button or press "Enter" key.

4. All the sections are deleted. Note that if this options is used all of the section headings and the phrases in the project will be deleted. Before you select "OK" ensure that this is what you actually intend to do.
Editing of Phrases
Join Phrases
1. Select the phrases which you want to join.
2. Choose "Join"(J) from the "Edit"(Alt + E) menu.

3. When the "Check" message is displayed, press the "OK" button or press "Enter" key.

4. The selected phrases are joined.

Split a Phrase
1. Select the phrase which you want to split.
2. Choose "Split Phrase"(H) from the "Edit"(Alt + E) menu.

3. The "Phrase splitting" window where you can select the splitting position is displayed. The audio wav form is displayed on this window.

4. You can choose the position to split the audio phrase using the right and or left arrow keys to move through the wav form or you can click on a position in the phrase with the mouse. The audio will play from the selected point each time the selected position is changed. Press the "PLAY" button or press "F5" key to play the phrase again from the selected point. Press "Spacebar" to stop playback.
5. After selecting the position for the split, press the "OK" button or "Enter" key.
6. When the "Check" message is displayed, press the "OK" button or the "Enter" key.

7. The selected phrase is divided into two phrases.
Delete the Phrase(s)
1. Select a phrase (or phrases) which you want to delete.
2. Choose "Delete"(D) from the "Edit"(Alt + E) menu or press "Delete" key.

3. When the "Check" message is displayed, press the "OK" button or press the "Enter" key.

4. The selected phrase is deleted.
Delete All Phrases
1. Select any phrase in the phrase list.
2. Choose "All Delete"(E) from the "Edit"(Alt + E) menu.

3. When the "Check" message is displayed, press the "OK" button or press the "Enter" key. Note that all of the audio phrases in the section will be deleted. Before selecting "OK", be certain that this is what you want to do.

4. All the phrases in the section are deleted.
Selecting and Entering the Navigation Information
Section Headings and Levels
1. Select the section where you want to enter the section information and double click or press "Enter" key.
2. When the Section Information dialog is displayed, you can change the level information and heading information.

3. You can select levels from 1 to 6 according to the structure of the project.
4. In the Heading text box, you can input the name of the heading.
If you do not input a heading title it will remain as "Heading".
5. In the Comment text box, you can input the comment for the heading, eg. notes, etc. When importing the audio file, the original file names are shown in this text box.
6. When editing the previous or next section information, press the $quot;Previous$quot; (Alt + Left Arrow) or "Next" (Alt + Right Arrow) buttons.
7. When you need to hear the first phrase of the section, press the "Play" (F5) button. The first phrase of the section will be played once.
8. When the "OK" button is pressed the section information is added.
To increase the number of the level for the heading choose "Level up"(V) from the "Edit" (Alt + E) menu or press "F11" key.
To change the level of the heading to a lower level, choose "Level down"(O) from the "Edit"(Alt + E) menu or press "Shift + F11" key. Note that if the heading is at level 1, it is not possible to move it to a higher level (as level 1 is the highest level). The "Shift + F11" function will not have any effect on a heading that is already at level 1.
If you select several sections, you can change the level of these sections in this same way, rather than moving them one at a time.

Pages
There are four options for adding pages to the project: "Auto Page", "Manual Page", "Front Page", "Special Page". The "Auto Page" and "Manual Page" options are introduced here. Additional information about pages is available in the MyStudio PC Help User's Manual.
Auto Page
Put the page mark on the phrase where you want to set the page. MyStudio PC will automatically set the page numbers on the phrases where the page marks have been placed.
1. Choose the phrase where you want to put the page mark.
2. Choose "Page"(A) from the "Edit"(Alt + E) menu or press "F10".
3. A page mark (*) will be placed on the selected phrase.
4. When you choose "Refresh" (F) from the "Control"(Alt + C) menu or "Ctrl L" , page numbers will replace the "*" mark that was set.
Manual Page
1. Select the phrase where you want to set the page.
2. Choose "Property"(R) from the "Edit"(Alt + E) menu or press "Enter" key.

3. After "Phrase information" dialog is displayed, you can choose "Manual Page" option from the list.

4. After selecting "Manual Page", key the required page number into the text box.
5. After inputting the page number, press the "OK" button or the "Enter" key.
