iBooks Overview

iBooks is an e-book reading application developed by Apple, Inc. for its iPad, iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 4 or later. It can be installed free of charge from the iTunes App Store.

iBooks mainly supports EPUB and PDF formats. Books can be purchased from the iBooks store for reading in the app. Users can also open their own EPUB and PDF files in iBooks by transferring them to their devices using Dropbox, iTunes or email.
