DAISY Standard

The DAISY Consortium is the official maintenance agency selected by the National Information Standards Organization (NISO) for the following standards:

  • ANSI/NISO Z39.86 - 2005 Specifications for the Digital Talking Book
  • NISO Z39.98-2012, Authoring and Interchange Framework

Development and implementation of DAISY standards is an ongoing and evolutionary process. The DAISY Consortium is committed to ensure that your digital collections can be moved forward as the standards evolve.

The entire DAISY Web site is dedicated to the implementation of DAISY and NISO standards. Links on the sidebar navigation menu of this page are provided to the high-level components related to DAISY Standard maintenance and development. A summary of each link follows:
